The City of Akys gets greener thanks to a reforestation operation led by Teyliom

Bambilor, July 12, 2025 – Under clear skies and in an atmosphere of civic engagement, the City of Akys vibrated this Saturday to the rhythm of sustainable development. At the initiative of Teyliom Properties, a reforestation day brought together residents, partners, employees and local authorities around a common goal: to make the City of Akys a green, sustainable and exemplary city.

Hundreds of trees have been planted in various areas of this new neighborhood under development in Bambilor, in line with Teyliom’s vision of environmentally-friendly housing. “This reforestation symbolizes our commitment to creating a living environment that is healthy, eco-responsible and resilient in the face of climate challenges,” said Souleymane Diallo, Managing Director of Teyliom Senegal.

The event is part of a vast environmental programme launched by the group, which will eventually see thousands of trees planted, green spaces created and residents made aware of ecological practices.

The City of Akys, more than a property development, embodies a new way of thinking about the city. With this first major reforestation operation, Teyliom is taking a concrete step towards building a sustainable urban environment in Senegal.
